Courses in India:
Economics includes statistical and mathematical methods for economics, econometrics, public finance, monetary economics, international economics, development economics and economic policy-making. Goa Common Entrance Test For admission to the first year of professional degree courses session 2012-13

Courses under GCET 2012 are Medicine (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS), Engineering (B.E.), Pharmacy (B.Pharm Sc), Architecture (B.Arch), Homoeopathy (BHMS)

GCET-2012 (Goa Common Entrance Test) in the state of Goa shall be conducted on 09th-10th May, 2012, Wednesday/Thursday as per the following schedule at 10 centres in Goa
·         Physics: 09th May, 2012, 10.00 a.m. to 12 noon
·         Chemistry: 09th May, 2012, 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
·         Mathematics: 10th May, 2012, 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon
·         Biology/Computer Science: 10th May, 2012, 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Question paper shall be of objective, multiple-choice type containing 75 questions of 1 mark each with no negative marking

B) G2CET-2012(Common Entrance Test for Direct 2nd Year)
a) G2CET-2012(for Diploma and B. Sc. Degree holders) for direct admissions to Second Year of Degree courses in Engineering and Pharmacy shall be conducted on Friday, 11th May, 2012, at Panaji and Margao Centres from 10.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. There shall be a single paper comprising of 100 objective, multiple choice type questions, carrying 1 mark each, with no negative marking.

Separate Prospectuses containing complete details of GCET and G2CET, with application forms shall be made available for reference in February, 2012 on the website www.dtegoa.gov.in and print version in March 2012. Specific dates and locations of availability will be duly notified.

Eligibility Criteria
 The minimum academic qualification for admission through MUEEE 2012 is 50 % marks in PCM in the final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination. For SC/ST/PH, a relaxation of 5% marks is there. Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination may also appear in MUEEE 2012 for consideration of provisional admission. Candidates who have passed 10+2 Examination on or before 2009 are not eligible to participate in MUEEE 2012.

Established in the year 1960 on the erstwhile Prabhat Studio premises at Pune and thereby inheriting a rich legacy in quality Cinema , the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) has truly lived up to its avowed objective in the field of imparting training in film making and television programme production. Today the FTII is considered as a Center of Excellence not only in India but also in Asia and Europe. Films made by the students of the Institute are entered in festivals both in India and abroad. Many of them have won National and International awards.
The alumni of the FTII have penetrated all corners of the Indian Film and Television industry and have excelled in all its fields. Pune University MBA (Biotechnology) Admission Notification Year 2012-13

The Department of Management Sciences, University of Pune has pioneered a two year full time MBA (Biotechnology) degree program since 2002 invites application for MBA (Biotechnology) for academic session 2012

Eligibility
A candidate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or who has appeared for the final year examination (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Marine Biology, Microbiology, Zoology), Agriculture, Ayurved, Medicine, Engineering, Pharmacy, Technology, Veterinary Sciences from a statutory university.

Selection Procedure:
Step 1:
Candidates seeking admission to this program for the academic year 2012 should have appeared for the ATMA test conducted on February 12th, 2012  (see details on www.atmaonline.in).
Step 2:
The interested candidates should register themselves for the GD/PI test (Group Discussion and Personal Interview) conducted by the Dept. of Management Sciences, University of Pune (PUMBA).

The details of GD/PI are given in the course prospectus.
The admission will be made strictly on the basis of overall merit i.e. written test (ATMA) score + GD score + PI score (Combined score).
Combined Score = ATMA Test Score +   GD Score + PI Score

How to Apply:
The prospectus can be obtained in person from the PUMBA office on payment of Rs. 900/- (for open category) and Rs. 700/- (for reserved category of State of Maharashtra only) by Demand Draft from February 1, 2012 on all working days between 11.00am to 5.00pm. 
The prospectus can also be obtained by post by paying through a DD of Rs. 950/- (for open category) and Rs. 750/- (for reserved category of State of Maharashtra only). 
The DD should be drawn in favor of ‘The Registrar University of Pune’, payable at Pune from any nationalized Bank. 

Imporatnt Dates:
·         The prospectus will be available by post till April 25, 2012.
·         The prospectus will be available at PUMBA office till April 30, 2012.
·         The completed forms will be accepted at PUMBA till 5PM on April 30, 2012.

Fee structure
The candidates will have to secure their admission by paying full fees during counseling.
